Pre-filters are used to increase the filtered
surface area at the pump inlet. They also
reduce the likelihood of frogs, newts, small fish,
stones and leaves etc getting jammed in the
pump inlets.
They are primarily used for submersible pumps
but can be adapted for surface pumps.
The picture on the left is shown with a pump,
this is Not supplied with the Pre-filter.
